Meet Your Coach

J. Catherine Davis

Experience

In my past work as a clinical psychologist, I found that integrating mindfulness practices with conventional talk therapy techniques brought deeper transformation and healing for many of my clients — especially those navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, or long-term stress. Because my clients were experiencing such positive results, I became certified in a variety of areas including meditation, breathwork, dream analysis, guided imagery, hypnosis, visualization, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Over time, these tools helped me create a more holistic approach to emotional support, and they became an essential part of my practice.

Training & Education

Academically, I hold a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from DePaul University, as well as a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from California State University. But it’s my real-world experience that I value most — including over 15 years as a corporate consultant for companies like Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and Morgan Stanley, helping leaders and teams navigate high-change environments. I’ve also lived, worked, and studied healing in countries like Mexico, Thailand, and Indonesia, experiences that deepened my understanding of healing beyond current Western models and taught me the importance of presence, listening, and trust.

Philosophy

Throughout my career, I’ve supported people through all kinds of challenges — as a clinical psychologist, social worker, organizational psychology consultant, and now as a certified Emotional Support Coach. I’ve led hundreds of individual sessions, groups, workshops, classes, and retreats designed to help people feel more present, more empowered, and more connected to themselves. But no matter the setting, the goal for me has always been the same — to create space where people feel safe, seen, included, and supported.

How I Can Support You

What keeps me grounded in this work is simple — I love listening, holding space, and helping people feel truly supported. I truly believe that you don’t need a diagnosis to deserve care. If you're feeling overwhelmed, grieving, stuck, or just need someone to talk to — I’m here. And I’d be honored to support you along your journey. My goal is to listen without judgment, offer tools when you want them, and create a space where you can just be yourself, whatever that looks like for you.

Welcome, I look forward to meeting you and working with you!

Warmly,

Jenn
