Hi, I’m Jai.
I've been a seeker for as long as I can remember. As a young adult navigating the aftermath of a traumatic childhood, I discovered meditation and yoga as a way to manage stress and hold myself together. What I found, though, was far more than a coping tool or personal practice—it was a doorway into a deeper level of consciousness and a series of profound awakenings that cracked my understanding of reality wide open.
Those experiences confirmed what I’d always sensed—that what we're taught about this world barely scratches the surface of the truth of our existence. This realization sent me down a lifelong path of exploration into Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, and the broader landscape of Eastern philosophy, quantum physics, and metaphysics, chasing the deeper questions: Who are we, why are we here, and what exactly is “reality”?
This seeking didn't just drive my personal practice—it also changed how I lived my life. More than once, I've quit my job, donated most of what I owned, and moved clear across the country—or even abroad—to somewhere I'd never been, just to start over from scratch. I've traveled and lived all over the world, immersing myself in ancient healing traditions of cultures very different from my own. I’ve visited temples, meditated in ashrams, and studied with shamans across the US, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, and beyond. Each of these experiences helped me chip away at yet another layer of fear and attachment, teaching me how to go deeper into surrender, create with intention, and experience life rather than watch it pass me by. It also sparked the inner healing work I’d long needed to do.
These awakenings impacted my work life, too. Over the years, I've walked alongside people through some of their most profound moments of challenge and transformation in countless individual sessions, groups, workshops, and retreats, through my various roles as a clinical psychologist, social worker, consultant, and spiritual advisor. But chasing success has never been the point. My passion has always been the same: to create a space where people feel safe, seen, accepted, and supported—so they can learn, grow, heal, and step into the most authentic version of themselves. I've always wanted to help others see what I've come to believe so deeply in my own life: that who you truly are is so much more beautiful, perfect, and expansive than any job, material possession, or identity you could ever cling to.
And all of that has led me here—to Emerge, and to this community I’m trying to build. Because I believe we are living through the most significant shift in human consciousness this planet has ever seen, and I don't think any of us are here right now by accident. I’m certain that when we come together to create a coherent field of love and compassion—for one another and for this beautiful world we all share—I believe we manifest a powerful and unstoppable energetic force, one that can help shift the future of humanity and the planet in the right direction.
